All of our girls basketball teams were in tournaments this weekend.
The Varsity team won the 3rd place trophy in the Garland
Tournament. The team defeated Plano East 61-48 in its last game on
Saturday. Morghen Day and Ellen Baker were named to the All-Tournament
team. All of the girls played well throughout the tournament.
The JV team won 1st place in the Royse City Tournament. The team
finished 4-0 in the tournament and beat a tough Red Oak in the finals.
Mandi McMillan had a great tournament. The JV team is currently 14-1 on
the season.
The Freshman A team competed in the Dallas Skyline Tournament and
placed third. They lost in the semifinals to Duncanville, and then beat
Skyline 41-40 in the finals. Chaney Garcia was named to the
All-Tournament team.
The Freshman B team was 2nd place in the Skyline B Team Tournament.
Ana Rodriguez and Brooklyn Garrett were named to the All-Tournament
team. The girls beat Cedar Hill and Arlington Martin to get to the
finals.
We are proud of all of these teams and their accomplishments this
weekend. If you see a Lady Jacket basketball player, give her a high 5
or a pat on the back for a great weekend!
