The Varsity team traveled to Frisco Thursday, Friday and Saturday
to compete in the Frisco Tournament. The Lady Jackets won 3rd place in
the tournament out of 32 teams finishing 4-1. They defeated Royse City
in the first game 66-33. Alyssa Lang led
the team in scoring with 21 points and had 15 rebounds followed by
Kayla Smith with 11.
The Lady Jackets took on Prestonwood Christian in the next game and
won 56-30. Alyssa Lang again had a double double with 18 points and 10
rebounds followed by Kayla Smith with 13 points and 5 assists. The
next game was vs McKinney Boyd, and the Lady
Jackets defeated them 64-54. Alyssa Lang led the team in scoring with
20 points followed by Kayla Smith with 15 points, Sara Williamson with
12 points and Morghen Day with 11 points. The next game was against a
very tough Plano East. The Jackets lost 55-34.
Alyssa Lang led the team in scoring with 16 points.
The final game of the tournament for 3rd place was vs Flower Mound
Marcus. The Lady Jackets defeated them 39-31. Ellen Baker led the team
in scoring with 12 points followed by Morghen Day with 11 points.
The Lady Jackets will take on Garland at home on Tuesday November 15th at 7:30pm.
The JV orange and white teams competed in the Mabank Tournament
this week, and JV orange finished 3rd. JV Orange played Bullard in the
first game and won 33-12. Regan Gladney led the team in scoring with 9
points. The Lady Jackets were defeated 32-30 by Crandall in the next game.
Cassie Ross led the team in scoring with 12 points. In the 3rd place
game, the Lady Jackets defeated Tatum 50-32. The team was led in
scoring by Regan Gladney with 14 points and Cassie
Ross with 11 points. JV orange will be taking on the Garland Owls on Tuesday night as well, with their game starting at 6pm.
JV white was defeated in the first game vs Tatum 42-14. Victoria
Fortune led the team in scoring with 7 points. The next game the Lady
Jackets played Canton and were defeated 39-27. The team was led in
scoring by Savannah Pullin and Caroline Poch both
with 6 points.
