The Varsity team competed in the Metro PCS basketball tournament hosted by Garland ISD this past weekend and came home as the tournament CHAMPIONS!!. The Lady Jackets played South Garland in the first game and defeated them 53-41. Hannah Hughes led the team in scoring with 25 points followed by Alyssa Lang with 17 points. The next game, Rockwall played Lakeview Centennial and defeated them 71-31. Alyssa Lang led the team in scoring with 28 points followed by Hannah Hughes and Paige Turner with 13 points each. In the third game, the Lady Jackets defeated Garland 38-28. Hannah Hughes led the team in scoring with 17 points. In the championship game, Rockwall faced Princeton and defeated them 49-34. Alyssa Lang led the team in scoring with 17 points followed by Paige Turner with 16 points and Hannah Hughes with 10 points. Alyssa Lang and Hannah Hughes were named to the All Tournament team!
The JV team played in the Royse City Tournament and also came home as the tournament CHAMPIONS!!
Rockwall played Forney in the first game of the tournament and defeated them 55-12. Ellen Baker led the team in scoring with 17 points. The next game, the Lady Jackets played Heath and defeated them 66-33. Ellen Baker led the team in scoring with 20 points. The Lady Jackets played Texarkana Pleasant Grove in the third game and won 50-21. Hannah Cook led the team in scoring with 9 points. In the championship game, the Lady Jackets played North Lamar and defeated them 37-28. Hannah Cook and Madison Roof led the team in scoring with 11 points.
