The 8th grade Williams Middle School basketball team won the district title this year under the direction of Coach Tresa Thornton. The teams competed against the middle schools of Wylie, Allen and Lovejoy ISD. The girls went 7-2 in district and then went on to beat an undefeated Lovejoy team to win the championship tournament.
"This team has a lot of great chemistry and has improved so much this year. They were a blast to work with! I wish the season could go on and on. I am proud that each and every member will be playing as a 9th grader. They all have a bright future as Lady Jackets and I will miss them. " commented Coach Thornton on the team.
The Lady Jacket Basketball Team has had great players in the past, and we are looking forward to the Future Lady Jackets joining us in the upcoming years!
I hope that the young girls in Rockwall are beginning to “dream big” for the future. As the Varsity coach, I certainly want our basketball team to be successful each and every season. Our goal is to win district, Regional, and State Championships! Even more important than championships is the development of these girls as individuals. We want Lady Jackets to grow in character and to become better people through their involvement in the program.
We hope to see you at the Lady Jackets games this season! I am excited about the FUTURE LADY JACKETS program!

Purpose
The purpose of the Future Lady Jacket Basketball Program is to develop the fundamental basketball skills of each individual player by teaching team concepts through quality coaching and practice sessions.
The Future Lady Jacket Basketball Program is a progressive 4th – 8th grade feeder program for the Rockwall High School Girl’s Basketball Team. It is designed to build continuity and a family atmosphere among the entire Rockwall Basketball community.
