My freshman year has been a year of adjusting and learning. It feels like I'm starting all over again which can be hard, but I know God is in control and is trying to stretch me both as a player and a person of faith.
Our season is just kicking off here at UMKC and I'm so thankful because preseason was not the funnest thing I have ever gone through. College workouts are no joke!! However, I am so thankful for my high school experience where my best was always demanded. I often feel like I am the busiest person in the world. My life consists of weights, conditioning, study hall, practice, film, individual meetings with coaches,class, and very little sleep. I am slowly finding my way though.
I know this is where God has put me, so I find peace in that during my hectic schedule. I really enjoy my teammates and coaches here at UMKC, but I can honestly say nothing can compare to being a Lady Jacket and playing for Coach McDill and Coach Reeves. Playing in front of all the Rockwall fans is something I will never forget, and I wish I would have appreciated it more. Anyways I'm so thankful that I will always be able to call myself a Lady Jacket!!!
