Jill McDill – Head Coach

Jill McDill graduated from North Mesquite High School in 1991. She played basketball at Baylor University in Waco,Texas, for one season and graduated with honors in 1995. Jill then coached for two years at the JV level. In 1998, Coach McDill coached her first Varsity season and led Crawford High School(2A) to a 30-4 record and a trip to the State Tournament. The team lost in the State Semi-Finals to the eventual State Champions. Coach McDill then stopped coaching for three years when her first son was born.

In 2001, Coach McDill began coaching at Rockwall High School. The team has been to the playoffs for the past eight seasons in a row. The team has been to the Regional Tournament five out of the past eight seasons. They have been to the State Tournament in Austin 2 seasons.

In 2007, Rockwall High School completed the season with 40 wins and zero losses. Only two other teams in Texas girls basketball have ever finished with a record of 40-0. The team won the State Championship and finished the season ranked #3 in the nation by USA Today.

Coach McDill’s overall record is 291-73, and her playoff record is 31-8. She has been named the Dallas Morning News coach of the year two years, and Coach McDill was named the Texas Girls Coaches’ Association 4A-5A Coach of the Year in 2007.

Jill has been married to Paul McDill, a pastor at Community Life Church in Forney, for 17 years. They have three sons: Caleb (1998), Noah (2003), and Joshua (2006).
